I’m so grateful that you have come to my site.
My name is Lexa, and I am the heart and hands behind Drama Queen Artisan.
Despite the name, it’s not about being dramatic—it’s about celebrating what makes each of us beautifully unique.
I am a mum of five, raising our crew on an off-grid bush block. Our days are filled with mud, the company of three mastiffs, a moody pig named Almond, and our chickens and ducks (including one called One Direction—because he’s got just one eye…Haha). Nature is our constant backdrop, and it sneaks into everything I create. Our home has few walls, we spend a lot of time looking up at the trees and much to everyone else’s annoyance… I spend a lot of time taking over the kitchen bench with my art.
My love for creating began when I was twelve and proudly announced to anyone who would listen, that I was going to be a National Geographic photographer. It didn’t quite go to plan, but photography opened my eyes to detail, light, and story. That same passion now flows into my copper jewellery. Over the years I’ve dabbled in many art forms, but photography and copper will always be my first loves.
Each piece I make is an invitation to honour your unique self—because there is nothing more beautiful than who we are, the way we love, and the way we express ourselves.
